Ok, ok this day is over but with that said it was a great day up at Bikes & Breakfast Eldersburg! Now in consideration of the weather and how the forecast threw us a curve ball, we had a fantastic turnout of riders! In total over 150 riders braved the conditions to come up and enjoy the camaraderie of another Bikes and Breakfast event. Wawa once again provided us with plenty of coffee and the “Goodies” from WHATADAY Cafe did not last long. The long-distance out-of-state rider came over from West Virginia and the in-state long-distance rider rode up from Waldorf, Md. The variety of bikes led to some great conversations and seeing old friends, new friends, and first-time attendees made for a great morning of enjoyment. Again as I mentioned during the “Giveaway” segment I cannot thank you all enough for the continued support and the spreading of the news about our event, this is truly “YOUR EVENT”
A special, special thanks goes out to Mary Morabito Horwitz for her efforts in gathering up the 109s that made an appearance. Be sure to show her some love and support her at her next Montgomery County Bike Night on Thursday, October 3rd at “Gentlemen Jim’s” over in Gaithersburg, Md.
Also, Shelli McLane from “ABATE” for her efforts and support while on site also deserves major thanks while “Bugsey” McLane, won for the birthday award and prize
Remember, next Sunday, September 29th is the scheduled Bikes & Bikes and Breakfast - North Beach, MD hosted by Brad Wagner and yes, I will be heading down there.
Now, what’s next for Eldersburg in October…hmmm
Could it be a trophy for the largest organization/club …
Also, November will be the Canned food/non-perishable food drive collection, and then in December of course that will be “Toys for Tots” to end the year …
Hey, also, if you see yourself or your bike in a picture that I took, help me out and identify yourself please if ya don’t mind!
My brain ….
Thanks again and see you soon
